Denise DeMore
Denise DeMore is an attorney and Information Technology specialist in the Greater Boston area. With a family of English and History teachers, Denise took a different route and decided to pursue a career in the business and technology industry where she advanced quickly through the ranks, retiring from Fidelity Investments as a Senior Vice President.
Though she pursued technology, her love was always in learning and teaching others. With a successful technology career behind her, Denise then pursued a law degree, and has published several articles on the death penalty and criminal law. Since being licensed in Massachusetts, she has combined her law knowledge with technology advances for the business world.
However, the love of history so prevalent in her family started to present itself in her hobbies and charity work. In 2003, Denise founded the Mayflower Sampler Guild to pursue the study of education of women during the 18th & 19th centuries through the needle arts. The organization has grown to members in the USA, England and Europe. Through the organization, she has raised funds for museums and historical societies to preserve samplers and textiles for future generations to learn from and enjoy.
Most recently, Denise was instrumental in supporting Pilgrim Hall Museum to host “Wrought By Tradition,” a display of samplers curated by Stephen O’Neill. She designed, compiled and published a catalog of the exhibit, which sold over 250 copies and has been consistently requested by needle workers around the world.
She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree double majoring in Accounting and Computer Science from Rider University and a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School. Denise is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and consults for companies converting, upgrading, off shoring, or outsourcing application software and data centers.
