Thrilling classes, events, and lectures for Nashua, NH, May 2019

Our show will be filled with classes that just keep getting better every year! Shopping days Friday and Saturday are open to the public. Day admission may be purchased on site. There may be classes with openings and you may sign up for additional classes at this event. But, be aware that very few classes may be available because most everyone preregisters and teachers have few available kits. Susan Greening Davis joins us again as our emcee for the week.

During our weekend remember to look for our display of gift baskets and purchase raffle tickets to benefit breast cancer research. Our vendors, manufacturers, teachers and exhibitors have generously donated enticing designs, products, and accessories that would be a thrill for any Stitcher to take home for the price of a raffle ticket. The week wouldn’t be complete without our Round Robin gatherings when several teachers each present a kitted project. Each session comes with several different kits and you may sign up for one, two, or all three sessions. Join us at our Meet and Greet on Wednesday evening for a preview of class projects; it is free for members, $5 for non-members. Join us on Thursday evening for our Preshow Shopping evening for members. This is a free event to members and $15 to non-members. Please preregister for all the events. The Saturday Night Event is a high energy gathering where Susan, our emcee for the evening, presents an evening of fun filled various surprises, with a silent auction to benefit breast cancer research with a wonderful tasty buffet dinner included.

  • Our Round Robins

What better way to begin your event experience by joining in on one of our Round Robins? Here is an opportunity to spend time with numerous talented vendors/designers in a Round Robin. Each is a designer, manufacturer, and/or shop/internet business. Come and learn a little about them and receive several small kits designed by these participating vendors/designers. All vendors/designers will present their project and explain finishing while giving insight as to how they began in business and/or what inspires them. This year we’re offering 3 sessions! The Early Bird Round Robin on Wednesday will feature 5-6 teachers and kits. Friday’s Round Robin sessions each feature 4 teachers and kits.

  • Saturday Night Event

Please join us in Celebrating Celebration of Needlework’s 27th season in beautiful Nashua, New Hampshire. The Saturday Night Event to benefit cancer research is always a popular evening and sells out quickly. The theme this year will be “The Circus,” which celebrates creativity, entrepreneurship and diversity. The night will begin with a lovely dinner buffet, followed by the anticipated fast-paced schedule of games and entertainment. Included for those that attend are specialty kits from The Purple Thread and something unique from Susan Greening Davis. We really appreciate the generosity of both Susan and Sharon!

  • Lecture Pass

This year Celebration has added to the lecture pass a variety of lectures so take a look at each of the presenters bios and lecture descriptions. Each lecture has different topics with scheduled times throughout the weekend. Sue Blomley, Susan Greening Davis, Denise DeMore, and Juliana Meehan have teamed up to bring you 5 different lectures. Come and relax and learn a bit about the history of needlework from around the world. You do not have to be a stitcher to appreciate what is shared in any of the lectures.

Review all lecture schedules under special events or by each individual teacher. The Lecture Pass will get you into any lecture, any time it is offered. You can show up for one or all if you want too.

  • Stitcher’s Lounge

Our New Hampshire show we have a “Stitcher’s Lounge” setup for anyone to drop in for socialization and stitching. It is located on the 4th floor of the hotel. We will have overflow areas in the hotel setup but these rooms are used for classes during the day so please clean up when leaving. Due to heavy dinner hours before evening events no stitching will be allowed in the restaurant. You’re welcome to use the lobby and 4th floor and any posted available rooms daily.

Look over the classes and events, examine the photos and descriptions and sign up as soon as you can make a decision. We look forward to seeing you at the Spring show and Fall retreat!
