With the 250th anniversary of the United States upon us, modern designers are looking back to the symbols that first defined a nation. From the soaring eagles and early flags to the mourning samplers following Washington’s death and the grand Centennial of 1876, needlework has long served as a canvas for Americana. Join Denise as she explores the known and unknown samplers of the 18th and 19th centuries, decoding the verses and imagery that captured the evolving American spirit.
