Karen Dudzinski
Having launched her designing at an early age, while still in graduate school, it is no surprise that Karen’s design house, Textured Treasures, recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. With a mathematical mind, her designs tend to be predominantly geometric or Celtic, although forays into asymmetrical space are not out of the question.
Distributed and taught world-wide, Karen tends to focus her classes in the United States, UK, Ireland and in her home country of Canada. Constantly on the road of continuous learning, she looks forward to each new adventure to get inspiration, both technical and visual, from color arrangements to architectural pattern and motif.
Karen has created a wide range of counted thread designs encompassing levels from
introduction to counted thread stitches to significantly advanced canvas work and dimensional pieces. Detailed stitch instructions and proprietary stitch diagrams support all stitcher levels. Her favorite stories are those where advanced kits were stitched up by novice stitchers with ease.
