The ivory mirror frame that hung in the State Dinner room of Osborn House – Queen Victoria’s residence on the Isle of Wight, I used as inspiration to create Victoria’s Treasure box. To honor Albert, Victoria’s beloved husband, I cut the needle page to mimic his evening tails jacket and the ribbon is folded to mimic gentleman’s tie.
Working with two silk fiber colors – Crème and White you will create stitched bands using, 34 count linen that will be used as the exterior of this project. An internal interior is created by using a wonderful micro check silk taffeta and 4mm silk ribbon.
Kit includes: All supplies to stitch and finish this lovely project.
Please bring to class the usual stitching supplies along with paper scissors, tape, a notebook and colored markers, plus lighting and magnification if needed. You will be making a mock up in class.
