The little pincushion drum features a small-town village decorated for the 4th of July celebrations and stands on a wooden round base. It has been stitched with beautiful cotton and metallic threads over a special 25 CT Antique White linen band. Lovely pins decorate the pincushion drum. It is a very simple design, but it is also a nice way to practice different embroidery stitches. The base and the top of the drum are lined with a red cotton finishing fabric. The upper rim of the pincushion is decorated with red cording, attached with tiny stitches. Stitches taught in class, cross stitch over two; cross stitch over one, Smyrna Stitch over two, backstitch, Diamond Eyelet Stitch over eight; closed Herringbone stitch over two.
Kit includes: 25 CT linen banding, directions, beads, padding, twisted cord, finishing fabric, round templates and wooden base. Thread palette/finishing thread; Eight DMS threads, One DMC Light effect Mouline DMC thread, white fusible interfacing, red finishing fabric, red cording, red & white sewing thread, heavy duty ecru sewing thread, fiber fill.
Please bring to class general stitching supplies, plus lighting and magnification if needed.
