Like the Portsmouth border, which this matches in colors and size taught two years ago, this is taken from antique samplers. It consists of borders and motifs taken from 4 samplers dated from late 18th century to the late 19th century. The outer borders are in pinks and greens. There is a two tone cartouche for your name and date and below those two further borders of strawberries and flowers. There are six small motifs of birds and trees in browns and green. This is a rare opportunity to put together the best of several antique needlework pieces, and is a charming piece incorporating mostly Cross stitch over two and over one. This is a quick to stitch to add to a collection of samplers and measures 6 ½ x 6 1/2.
Kit includes: 28 Count Dirty Linen, Mill Silks, Charts and instructions.
Please bring extra lighting and magnification if needed, and normal stitching supplies.
