Create your own unique silver needle – minder with the help of Silver artist, Michelle Arsenault of Michelle Ink Designs.
Make a needle minder, a scissor fob, a pair of earrings, a whimsical charm or two… the possibilities are endless! Precious Metal Clay is created from silver particles reclaimed from old electronics, fine silver bits suspended in an organic matter that can be manipulated to all ends of the imagination! This class event is a great chance to learn, create and recycle!
Come on a silver journey! Beginners are most definitely welcome! Bring a friend (or two) and learn a bit of alchemy while having just so much fun in the process! No prior experience necessary and you will be able to complete 2 to 3 needle minders/charms. Michelle will walk you through the entire process of transforming reclaimed silver clay (PMC) into a beautiful solid silver piece.
Finishing of the clay to silver process will be shown, but actually kiln fired later in Michelle’s home studio. Arrangements will be made in class for you to be sent your finished pieces. (Shipping is included in class fee.) An extensive variety of molds are available with which to create 2-3 Needleminders. If you have a special button, charm, flatware from which you would like to lift the pattern, this can be covered/completed as well.
Kit includes: Michelle will provide for “in class” use – all tools necessary, and class kit provides all supplies necessary.
Please bring extra lighting and magnification if needed.
