Class #302: Case Study

Friday, 9:00am – 1:00pm

Categories: Friday, Jackie du Plessis, NH, Skill Level - Intermediate
  • Description

Scheduled: Friday, 9:00am – 1:00pm

Max: 24 students
Min: 10 students

A traditional 17th century sampler band with stylized carnations will adorn this palm size skein storage case. This unique folding case is a study of stitches but is also a functional storage case. There are five bands all worked on 40 count linen, with the same silk fiber color combination, but each band features different specialty stitches. The entire piece is hand finished and features an interior silk fabric accordion storage panel that can hold skeins of AVS silk fiber. Once the two double sided silk ribbons untie and the accordion silk section removed the case opens into a try that measures 5 x 3.5.

Kit includes: You will be provided with a complete kit – all the stitching and finishing supplies needed to complete the project as seen with color pictures, charts and instructions.

Bring to class: Magnification and lighting if needed.
