After long and careful deliberation, we have made the very heavy decision to postpone Celebration of Needlework Nashua until May 12-16, 2021. Although we have the utmost confidence that we could have moved forward with a very safe and successful show for all, the constant reports on the news concerning COVID-19 and the rising cases throughout the country have raised our concern for everyone’s safety. Thus, we have come to the conclusion that we must postpone until 2021. The health and safety of our family, friends, and stitching community, as well as all others, is most important and the occurrences of 2020 have brought this to the forefront.

We are happy to be offering the following in a virtual setting:

  1. Lecture Pass:
Denise DeMore – The Tassels of Hingham
Michelle Arsenault – The History of Silvermaking
Sue Blomley – Mayflower Journey from the British Perspective.
  2. Round Robins:
The 3 different sessions of Round Robins will still be offered. We have a limit of 30 people, and as it stands right now there are very few spots left.
  3. Virtual Classes:
    Barbara Jackson – Pilgrim Penny
Barbara Jackson – Little Bird and Berry Box
Michelle Arsenault – Making Silver Thread Winders
Sharon Verbos – They Will Remember Your Purse
    Sharon Verbos – Ombersley Pins
Janice Card – Nantucket Pin Cushion Pedestal Basket
Janice Card – Beaded Bezel Scissor Fob

We will also be featuring other classes throughout the year. Stay tuned.

  4. Shopping:
We will be sponsoring an online shopping experience featuring specials from some of our vendors and designers. This will happen between July 29 and August 2.

We will also do this periodically throughout the year.

And this is what else is going on:

  • Pineapple Kit:
Thank you to all who have purchased the Pineapple Kit. We have raised over $400 for the American Red Cross. We still have additional kits available to purchase through our website. We have also added a Red Cross button on our Facebook page, if you wish to donate.
  • Retreat:
The good Lord willing and the COVID-19 don’t rise ☺, we have a retreat scheduled for February 5-7, 2021 in Fort Myers, Florida. Fingers crossed.

Stay well, stay calm and stitch on! – Pam, Kelly, and Tammy, Celebration of Needlework/Olde Colonial Designs
