Inspired by Italian Deruta Majolica, the oval basket is completely stitched on the sides and on the handle with floral motives and scrolls taken from the antique Italian embroidery motifs of Assisi. The basket features a Deruta button on one side and is completely lined with blue finishing fabric. Inside the basket are four sewing smalls to complete the set. The scissor fob, Needle Book, Thread keeper and Pinkeep are stitched in shades of blue with motifs matching the buttons and the beads. The pinkeep and the scissors fob will be decorated by small Deruta beads. The beautiful Italian linen is very rare to find in this shade and it is very pleasant to stitch on. All finishing steps will be taught in class. Information about the Italian Deruta motifs and town will be included in class.
