Owner and designer of Erica Michaels, Linda Stolz has been a stitcher and seamstress for too many years to count – surrounded by the women of her family as they embroidered, crocheted, knitted, tatted, sewed and quilted. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics/Interior Design from Kansas State University, and worked in that field early in her career adding custom home décor sewing as an enterprise on the side. Begun in 2000, Erica Michaels Designs has evolved and now focuses on designs for the easily learned technique of stitching on silk gauze. Linda has taught around the country at retail shops, EGA chapters, industry trade shows and needlework retreat weekends. She’s her own model stitcher and finisher and runs her one-woman home-based business as “chief” needle artist, editor, publisher, etc.
