A Stitcher's Chest

This painted mirror chest has four compartments to hold needlework accessories, with room on the bottom to hold a small work in progress. The top is stitched in hues of DMC blues and browns with a Stitcher's poem mounted to the top of the box, measuring 9" wide x 6" high on 32 count cream linen. Stitches included in the designs including the smalls are Whip Stitch, Nun Stitch, Rice Stitch, Smyrna Cross and Lacing with your basic Cross stitch and Backstitch.

This box will be a beautiful way to store all your necessary tools in one tidy place.

Kit includes: Painted wooden chest with mirror and four compartments, Linen, Floss, and materials needed for finishing including mat board, batting, chart, diagrams and photo finishing details and instructions.

Bring to class extra lighting and magnification if needed with normal stitching supplies.

Harvest Home Drum Pinkeep Class Description: Your needles will sing a song to call this fall inspired drum 4 ½" High Pinkeep home. Stitched on 30 or 32 count linen (your choice) Tin Roof linen from Weeks Dye Works. The autumnal palette flows from five hand-dyed Gentle Art floss colors. The Pinkeep is topped with warm, Glen Plaid wool from Weeks Dye Works and stuffed with a combination of Polyfil, wool roving, lavender and weights. In the class you will learn how to construct the 5" drum using a variety of stitches and will go home with the finished Pinkeep to brighten your Harvest Home, providing prestitching is done. No worries as all instructions for finishing will be presented in class with chart and finishing instructional booklet.

Kit contains: 30 or 32 count linen please specify when registering. Gentle Art Threads, Wool, and all finishing supplies including chart and booklet.

Bring to class: Finished prestitch piece if possible, lighting and magnification if needed with normal stitching supplies.

My Secret Garden

Janis has created a unique construction of these two interlocking 3 x 3 x 1.5 Biscornu's that form a tower of shrubbery and wrought iron. Hiding inside are colorful stitched woven and knotted flowers on a 32 Count Beach Walk Linen base with Sea Spray linen sky. Overdyed delphiniums and bullion roses attract a Stumpwork bumble bee who resides in the center of the garden. This unique construction of the tower sets this piece apart from other Biscornu's. Stitches used in this design include Cross Stitch, Backstitch, Chinese Knot, Feather Stitch, Spider Web and Bullions. What better way to learn some new stitches or maybe master one while creating this tower with Janis.

Kit includes: 32 Count Linen, Fibers, Stump-work materials filled with detailed chart, diagrams and finishing instructions.

Bring to class extra lighting and magnification if needed with normal stitching supplies.

Wednesday evening begins our event providing a "wee bit of fun time" for you to share personal interactions with Celebration teachers and sponsors who are present that evening. They will display their creations and you will be able to register for classes that have openings. Please remember, spaces are always limited so your favorite choice may have already filled.

All six vendors/designers will present their project and explain finishing while giving insight as to how they began in business and/or what inspires them. Please join us for a "Stitching good time".

We will meet for a brief get together when Susan Greening Davis, our emcee, will introduce our vendors and tell you what special items they will be featuring. While she is giving you an overview of the show, you may take notes in your free show brochure so that when the shopping begins you won't forget to ask for these specials. And then, you will be invited to "shop" the show floor where the vendors will greet you and help you with your shopping needs. This is another great reason to become a member of Celebration of Needlework!

This evening event adds a great deal of excitement to an already fun-filled week and you must preregister for this event on your registration form. Free to all members!

Non Members: $15.00 includes show booklet, entrance to preview and one daily admission on Friday.

The Saturday Night Event is a spectacular sold out evening of fun, food, and frolicking. It begins with a tasty dinner buffet to relax you and fuel you for a fast paced schedule of entertainment. Susan Greening Davis, our emcee, has fashioned a unique kit just for this event that you will definitely want to finish and use. She will share her travel tales of an adventure to Germany with a group of stitchers. The Silent Auction to benefit breast cancer research will present designs, products, accessories and more all donated by our generous vendors, manufacturers, designers, teachers, and exhibitors. This display of enticing items brings out the friendly rivalry that our guests enjoy as they compete to donate to a most worthy charity. Later there will be time for a round of games when your table of friends competes to win more prizes. Help us to celebrate as Celebration of Needlework closes its' 19th season in beautiful New Hampshire.
